Reinitz Law Launches Community Scholarship Program, Awards $2,750 to Eight Fair Lawn High School Seniors
In its inaugural year, the Reinitz Law Community Scholarship recognized graduating seniors who demonstrated a commitment to justice, advocacy, and community leadership.
FAIR LAWN, N.J. — July 14, 2026 — Reinitz Law, a boutique DWI and criminal defense law firm based in Fair Lawn, N.J., has awarded $2,750 in scholarships to eight graduating seniors at Fair Lawn High School through the firm’s newly established Reinitz Law Community Scholarship. The program was created to honor students who have shown a meaningful dedication to justice, service, and advocacy — values that sit at the core of the firm’s identity. The awards were presented at the Fair Lawn High School Community Scholarship Awards ceremony this spring, marking the first of what the firm intends to be an annual commitment to the community it serves.
The scholarship program awarded three top prizes of $500 each and five awards of $250 each, drawn from a pool of 16 applicants. To be considered, students submitted a written application that included responses to two prompts: a two-page-or-fewer personal essay describing a time they stood up for fairness, justice, or someone who needed a voice; and a paragraph outlining who they intend to advocate for in the future. Selection criteria emphasized demonstrated leadership, a record of community service, and a commitment to using advocacy to improve the lives of others.
The three $500 scholarship recipients are Natalie Davis, Ilana Zuzov, and Layla Fontanez. The five $250 recipients are Isabella Puzino, Kyle Dong, Tyler Reynolds, Sueyeon An, and Maya Braudo.
Reinitz Law opened its doors in Fair Lawn in 2025, representing clients throughout New Jersey in DWI and criminal defense matters. From the outset, managing partner Josh Reinitz identified community engagement as a firm priority — one he intends to demonstrate through recurring annual scholarships to supplement his support of other local events, organizations and programs.
“When I opened Reinitz Law in 2025, being active in and supporting my local community was not an afterthought — it was part of the plan,” said Josh Reinitz, managing partner of Reinitz Law. “With the rising cost of college, I wanted to find a meaningful way to honor students who are dedicated to leadership, service, and advocacy. Those are the same values that guide how I approach my work in the courtroom and my responsibilities to clients.”
“I hope this scholarship conveys the belief that advocating for others and standing up for what is right will always matter, and that those who demonstrate the courage to make those choices are noticed and worth investing in.”
The Reinitz Law Community Scholarship will be offered annually, with applications made available through the Fair Lawn High School Guidance Department. Students at Fair Lawn High School interested in future cycles are encouraged to apply through the school’s guidance office. The firm also wishes to thank Fair Lawn High School staff member Maria Senatore for her guidance and assistance throughout the process of creating and distributing the scholarships.
